Consumer Narrative
Experian is reporting completely incorrect information on my credit report, while TransUnion and Equifax are both accurate and updated. My Experian credit score has dropped drastically due to these errors, and its now hurting my ability to apply for housing and improve my credit. XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX Issue : I paid my XXXX XXXX card down to {$55.00} on the XXXX of the month, and the account normally reports to the credit bureaus on the XXXX. Despite this, Experian is reporting a balance of {$450.00}, which is not only incorrect but appears to have been pulled from a random date instead of the actual reporting cycle. I never missed a payment, and this misreporting is making it look like Im not paying my card, which is false and damaging. 2. XXXX XXXX XXXX : I was previously an authorized user on a XXXX card that I have since been removed from. TransUnion and Equifax have already removed the XXXX card from my report, but Experian still has it listed, which is incorrect and outdated. I called Experian to request its removal, and they confirmed a dispute was started but nothing has been corrected. 3. Dispute Mishandling : When I called to fix the XXXX XXXX error, I never asked for the account to be deleted only for the balance to be updated to reflect the accurate {$55.00} payment. Instead, the dispute says I requested XXXX XXXX to be removed, which I did not. This is not only a mishandling of my dispute, its completely misrepresenting what I asked for. Experian and now Equifax are reporting inaccurate and damaging information on my credit reports while XXXX is the only bureau currently reporting correctly. XXXX XXXX Issue ( Affects Experian and Equifax ) : I always pay my XXXX XXXX card on time. My due date is the XXXX of each month, and the reporting date is the XXXX. I paid my XXXX XXXX balance down to {$55.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. However, Experian reported it as {$450.00}, which is false. Equifax has now done the same thing, reporting my current balance even though the due date hasnt even passed ( today is XX/XX/XXXX ). Theyre both reporting whatever the balance is right now, instead of waiting for the actual reporting date, and its making it look like I dont pay my card which is untrue and unfair. This is seriously damaging my credit scores. Experian dropped my score to XXXX, and now Equifax is dropping mine too, even though Ive paid responsibly.
