I had a bank account with truist bank in PA. I was arrested in 2022, and was recently released. I discovered fraudulent activity, including cashing life insurance checks from my mother while I was incarcerated. The total of her policies were XXXX. I additionally have been made aware of further withdrawals from my account after my incarceration. I have tried numerous times to report this to truist fraud department, but because I am unable to apparently verify myself to these foreign people, I have yet to get anywhere regarding an investigation. I have contacted the local bank and been able to recover statements from the relevant time period. I also have made a police report. I don't understand why the bank has not been forthcoming in helping pursue this manner when it falls on their negligence. Someone forged my signature and used my bank account and I still have no reimbursement??! I am so frustrated
