Financial Institution : Navy Federal Credit Union Issue : Incorrect Handling of Vehicle Loan Payments Product : Vehicle Loan Your Role : Borrower Date Range of Issue : XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXX/XX/year> Complaint Description : I am submitting this complaint because Navy Federal Credit Union ( NFCU ) has repeatedly misapplied or failed to properly credit my monthly vehicle loan payments, even though they were successfully processed from my XXXX XXXX account. Each month, I have made timely payments on my car loan through XXXX. I have reviewed my XXXX bank statements, which clearly show that the payments were withdrawn and processed by Navy Federal. These payments were not returned or rejected according to XXXX. Despite this, Navy Federal continues to claim that the payments were " returned '' and not applied to my loan account. This is inaccurate and contradicts the documentation I have from XXXX, which includes ACH confirmation numbers and proof of payment. I have also requested XXXX XXXX to provide a written explanation or initiate a payment trace, but have not received a resolution. This has caused undue stress and confusion, and I am concerned it XXXX negatively impact my credit report through no fault of my own. What Im Requesting : A full investigation and reconciliation of the vehicle loan account. Immediate correction and application of all valid payments. Assurance that no negative credit reporting or penalties ( e.g., late fees ) will result from this issue. A written explanation of what went wrong and confirmation of resolution. I have documentation from XXXX showing each payment successfully processed, which I am happy to provide upon request.
