I am filing this complaint against Experian for failing to remove unauthorized credit inquiries from my credit report, despite providing a formal dispute, valid documentation, and a Federal Trade Commission ( FTC ) Identity Theft Report No. XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted a dispute to Experian regarding multiple unauthorized inquiries that appeared on my credit report. I included a valid FTC Identity Theft Report, a copy of my government-issued ID, and proof of address. Despite fulfilling all requirements outlined under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), Experian has failed to delete several inquiries that were clearly unauthorized and not initiated by me. In XX/XX/XXXX I sent a second dispute letter reiterating my demand for removal. I also requested the immediate blocking of these inquiries under FCRA 605B [ 15 U.S.C. 1681c2 ], which Experian is legally obligated to perform upon receipt of identity theft documentation. Additionally, Experian failed to verify these inquiries in compliance with FCRA 1681i and has not demonstrated that these creditors had permissible purpose as required under 1681b ( f ).
