LexisNexis continues to report bankruptcy deleted by XXXX verified through PACER, not the court. LexisNexis is reporting a bankruptcy that is no longer listed on my XXXX credit report. XXXX has removed the bankruptcy from my file without me having submitted a direct dispute. This clearly proves that the item is not verifiable. LexisNexis, however, continues to report this public record. I have sent multiple dispute letters, a formal cease-and-desist, and a legal warning notice, all of which have been ignored or received inadequate responses. LexisNexis has stated they verify bankruptcies using PACER, which is not a court and not an original source. The FCRA requires information to be accurate and verifiable with the actual source in this case, the court where the bankruptcy was filed. LexisNexis is in willful violation of the FCRA by continuing to report an unverified and unsubstantiated record. This is causing ongoing harm to my credit reputation and financial opportunities. I am requesting that the CFPB force LexisNexis to permanently delete this unverifiable bankruptcy from my report, and that this matter be reviewed for willful noncompliance and possible legal consequences.
