I am submitting this complaint because TransUnion is reporting unauthorized hard inquiries on my credit report from XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX. I did not apply for credit with either of these companies and did not authorize them to access my credit file. I submitted a dispute along with an FTC Identity Theft Report to TransUnion, clearly stating that these inquiries were made without my knowledge or consent, and requested their immediate removal under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). However, TransUnion has failed to remove these unauthorized inquiries. Under FCRA Section 605B, I have the right to request that any information resulting from identity theft be blocked from my credit report. I am requesting that the CFPB ensure TransUnion fully complies with its obligations and removes these unauthorized inquiries.
