Ally Bank CD was scheduled to mature on XXXX. On XXXX instructions were submitted to close account and mail a check at the maturity date. Email confirms this request. On XXXX Ally Bank was contacted to find out why funds had not been mailed. Online account indicated that new maturity date was XXXX, and this info was confirmed via phone conversation with representative, and his supervisor XXXX ( no last-name provided ). I was told that the instructions that I submitted were effective for the following CD term. This makes no sense, as the NEXT maturity date after the instructions were provided was clearly XXXX. Forced to take " XXXX XXXX '' to recover funds, and was charged a fee of almost {$600.00} to do this. At best the process to submit instructions for CD at maturity date are ambiguous, at worst it is deception which I believe to be the case
