Consumer Narrative

I am submitting a formal complaint regarding inaccurate late payments reported on my credit profile by XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX ( XXXX, Dates reported : XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX ; XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX Tx XXXX, Reporting : All three bureaus ), XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Acct : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX : XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX ; Address : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, NV XXXX. Reporting : All three Bureaus ), XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Acct : XXXX, Dates reported : XXXX ; Address : XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX MO XXXX XXXX XXXX : All three Bureaus ). These reported delinquencies are either factually incorrect or do not belong to me. Despite previous efforts to resolve this matter directly with the creditor and through disputes filed with the credit reporting agencies, the inaccurate information remains on my credit report. This reporting violates my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), 15 U.S. Code 1681. Under the FCRA, consumers have the right to dispute any inaccurate or incomplete information, and furnishers of information are legally obligated to conduct a reasonable investigation and correct or delete any unverifiable or inaccurate data. Additionally, if the creditor is reporting this information without proper documentation or continues to report it after being notified of its inaccuracy, it may also constitute a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), 15 U.S. Code 1692, which prohibits misleading and unfair reporting or collection practices. These inaccurate late payment entries are causing unwarranted damage to my credit profile. I respectfully request that the CFPB investigate this matter further and ensure that the creditor either provides verifiable proof of the alleged late payments or corrects/removes the inaccurate information immediately. If this can not be verified I demand that these payments be updated to paid on time immediately.
