On XX/XX/year>, I received a text message on my personal cell phone asking if I had just attempted to make a {$2400.00} USD purchase on my debit card through Truist. I responded " NO ''. The next morning, I received another call that informed me that the {$2400.00} USD was approved after I responded " NO '' to the initial text. I immediately left my home and drove to my local Trust bak, and I spoke to XXXX XXXX, and I informed her about the text message I received and I wanted to make sure that transaction was refused. She stated, " it's now in the system and she can not stop anything until it goes through. '' I asked her " why? '' and she responded with she, " can not do anything until it goes through, which could take a few days ''. On approximately Friday, XX/XX/XXXX, I went back to the bank and XXXX XXXX stated the transaction went through. She stated at that time that she would turn the case over to the security department, and that the {$2400.00} USD would be placed back into my account pending the investigation that would take approximately 30 days. Approximately 30 days later, I was notified that Truist had concluded their investigation and that it was decided that I approved the transaction. She stated their security department talked to someone at XXXX XXXX that reported I approved the transaction and that it was legitimate. My response back to her was, " That is a lie, I have never talked to anyone at XXXX XXXX about any transaction. '' I asked XXXX XXXX for someone in a hight position that could explain their reasoning, which is when I talked to XXXX XXXX through Truist Corporate Office out of XXXX, GA on XX/XX/year>. XXXX stated that the decision has already been made and their security department suggested that I hire a lawyer. She also stated that she would send me all of the investigative paperwork and I have not received it. XXXX stated that this case has ben filed twice and I would have to hire a lawyer. XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX phone number is ( XXXX ) XXXX and XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX phone number is ( XXXX ) XXXX. The case number given is : XXXX through Truist Bank . I made a police report in XXXX XXXX, TN and I have the report incident number XXXX, reporting officer XXXX XXXX . On XX/XX/year> when this fraudulent charge occurred, I was at the XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX, TN, and purchased {$99.00} USD in groceries and approximately four hours later is when the {$2400.00} USD was stolen from me. The receiver 's name of the {$2400.00} USD is XXXX XXXX with the payout location as XXXX XXXX, XXXX ( through XXXX XXXX ).
