Complainant : XXXX XXXX XXXX : Inaccurate Payment History Dispute Not Resolved Within 35 Days I, XXXX XXXX, am submitting this complaint to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau regarding the continued inaccurate reporting of payment history on my credit report. This issue stems from a billing error dispute I initiated over 35 days ago. Despite following the proper procedures outlined under the Fair Credit Billing Act ( FCBA ) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), the account in question has not been corrected or validated. The account listed below continues to report a late payment despite my formal billing error dispute based on 15 U.S. Code 1666 ( b ), which covers : Failure to accurately reflect a payment or credit issued ; Computation or accounting errors made by the creditor ; Failure to provide proper advance notice ( 21 days ) before charging late fees or reporting to credit bureaus. To date, I have not received any documentation substantiating the creditors claim that I was late on the payment.
