Response to validation request : Tek-Collect, Inc XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX, OH XXXX Dear Tek-Collect, Inc : I am responding to your contact about an alleged debt you are trying to collect. You contacted me by mail and identified an alleged debt with the below information : Creditor : XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX Balance Due : {$3800.00} Despite the response of documentation sent to me in an effort to validate the alleged debt, the documentation TekCollect provided, does not suffice nor abide by the statutes provisioned under the Fair Debt Collection Protection Act. Please supply the additional information below within 30 days of this letter : 1 ) Proof that I gave the original creditor permission to share my personal information with TekCollect. 2 ) The contract of assignment proving TekCollect has the legal right to collect on this alleged debt as a third party collection agency. 3 ) Original signed contract with the original creditor. ( TekCollect failed to provide this in the debt validation documentation ) Unless the three pieces of documentation are provided, TekCollect has no legal authority to pursue collecting on this alleged debt. I am requesting this alleged debt is removed from my credit report with all three credit bureaus. This alleged debt has not been properly validated and furthermore, has been erroneously reported in collections on my credit report. Consequently, this illegal pursuit of collecting this alleged debt is causing direct financial harm and damage to me personally. Thank you for your cooperation and the removal of this alleged debt owed to, and in collections by TekCollect. Sincerely,
