I am writing to respectfully request assistance regarding my XXXX XXXX credit account ( Account # : XXXX * * * * ), which is currently reporting to both TransUnion and Equifax. While this account is now in good standing and reflects a {$0.00} balance with a current payment status, I would like to ask for a review and possible removal of the late payments reported during XXXX and early XXXX. As outlined in my credit report : I had a few late payments in XXXX, XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX, and again in XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, reported as XXXX or 60 days past due. However, I have worked diligently to bring the account current and have consistently made on- time payments since then, with a solid and improving payment pattern now clearly reflected in the most recent history. Given my recent performance and the efforts Ive made to restore my account, I am kindly asking that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau consider facilitating a goodwill adjustment or correction to remove these older late payment notations. I understand that creditors and furnishers are not required to remove accurate information, but the FCRA also supports fairness and the reporting of complete and updated information. I believe this request aligns with the intent of the Fair Credit Reporting Act to promote accuracy, and I hope my recent positive history will be taken into account.
