Consumer Narrative

I am submitting this complaint to formally dispute numerous inaccuracies and violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and, in some cases, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), as it relates to the reporting of several accounts and personal information on my credit reports. 1. Inaccurate Personal Information : The following addresses are incorrectly listed on my credit report and are not associated with me at any point in time. I have never lived at or been affiliated with these addresses : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, OH XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, OH XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, OH XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, OH XXXX Legal Basis : Under FCRA 611 [ 15 U.S.C. 1681i ], credit reporting agencies must ensure the maximum possible accuracy of consumer information. Reporting inaccurate addresses violates this obligation and must be rectified immediately. 2. Inaccurate and Disputed Account Reporting : The following accounts are being reported with inaccurate statuses, duplicate charge-offs, or collection entries, in violation of FCRAs requirement to report information fairly and accurately. Late Payments ( FCRA 623 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ) : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Opened XX/XX/XXXX, High Credit : {$20000.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Opened XX/XX/XXXX, High Credit : {$500.00} ) XXXX XXXX These accounts are reporting late payments. I request a full investigation into the accuracy and timeliness of these entries as required by the FCRA. XXXX : The following accounts have been reported as charged off, some more than once under different account numbers. This is duplicate derogatory reporting and is misleading : XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( duplicate charge-off & collection ) XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Legal Basis : Under FCRA 602 ( A ) and FCRA 607 ( b ), information reported must be complete and accurate. Reporting the same account with different numbers or in both charge-off and collection status is misleading and violates federal law. Collections : I dispute the validity and accuracy of the following collection accounts, many of which are duplicated entries or do not belong to me. Some have been paid or should have aged off under FCRA 605 ( a ) : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX reported in both charge-off and collection status duplicate XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Legal Basis : Under FDCPA 807 ( 8 ) and FCRA 609 ( a ) ( 1 ), I have the right to dispute any account, and you are required to verify all data with original creditors. Duplicate reporting by collection agencies is considered deceptive under the FDCPA. 3. Unauthorized or Improper Hard Inquiry : XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX This inquiry was not authorized by me. Under FCRA 604, a hard inquiry may only be made with my explicit permission or in connection with a credit transaction initiated by me. I did not initiate any such request on that date. Requested Relief : I am requesting that the CFPB investigate this matter thoroughly and take the following actions : 1. Remove all incorrect addresses from my credit profile. 2. Remove duplicate and inaccurate charge-offs and collection entries. 3. Verify and correct late payments or delete if unverified. 4. Delete the unauthorized XXXX XXXX inquiry. 5. Ensure all reporting complies with FCRA 602, 607, 609, and 611, and if applicable, FDCPA 807. Please consider this my formal dispute and request for an urgent review of these violations.
