I contacted Chime multiple times on XX/XX/year>, to tell them that I received a credit card and a debit card ( separate US mailings ) that I did not authorize and wanted to close immediately before anyone used them. XXXX XXXX asked me to provide the full card numbers or my DOB or my SSN. I refused -- because this is the info a criminal would need to perpetrate the fraud. This person refused to transfer me to a supervisor without giving him that information. I hung up and called again -- Agent 2 used my full name, address, last 4 digits of one of the cards- and confirmed an account had been opened in my name. She also asked for my email and then confirmed that my email was NOT the one used to open the account. I told this agent about my interaction with Agent # 1 and she stressed that I should NEVER give the full card number to someone on the phone -- but also said she had to transfer me to someone else to close. Agent # 3 again asked for my personal identity information so I asked to be transferred to his supervisor. The supervisor ALSO asked me for DOB, SSN, full card numbers. I explained that I was unwilling to give out information that could be used to perpetrate the fraud but that Agent # 2 had found my account with other information. I was put on endless hold and cut off at XXXX.
