In XXXX, a charged-off account from XXXX XXXX appeared on my Experian credit report. This account does not appear on my XXXX XXXX XXXX reports. I believe the account is either inaccurate or unverifiable, and I have disputed it multiple times. I submitted : An online dispute through Experians website. They responded by stating the account was updated in XX/XX/XXXX but denied the dispute without showing how it was verified. Three mailed disputes, each including supporting documentation. None of these disputes received a proper response. Follow-up letters, but I have not received evidence that Experian actually verified the account with XXXX. Despite these actions, Experian continues to report the charged-off account, damaging my credit unfairly. I have made every effort to resolve this through the correct channels and have been more than patient. Experian has failed to meet its obligation under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) to investigate and remove unverifiable or inaccurate information. At this point, I am left with no choice but to escalate the issue through the CFPB.
