i financed my used car in XX/XX/XXXX after XXXX years the first late payment that was reported was during covid XXXX when the world was shut down and i lost my job. they wouldn't forgive the payment said they don't do this or correct credit reports. so in XX/XX/XXXX i called the customer service dept to have my car note on a defer payment, and the rep told me they would give me a XXXX week extension to pay the note and since i was 28 days behind at the time i agreed. and i ask him would this be on my credit report because it would run pass the 30 day mark, and the customer service rep told me no. i ask will i receive an email of the arrangements, and he told me no. so here in XX/XX/XXXX i have a late payment for this payment on my credit report because he gave me an extension to pay the current car note not the past due one, that was 28 days past due at that time. i called customer service told them how I've had my loan with them a very longtime, and they told me they will look into the matter and I haven't heard anything back and its XXXX and the car payment has cause my credits to decrease XXXX points for this. why would i call in to get and defer payment on the current note that's not behind it was the past due one which i made the payment on the agreed date. please help me fix this. oh I'm not sure if it was my XXXX payment or XXXX that reported late because it hit my credit report last month.
