I am writing to file a formal complaint against the three major credit reporting agenciesExperian, TransUnion, and Equifaxfor willful and repeated violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ). Under 15 U.S.C. 1681i of the FCRA, the credit bureaus are required to conduct a reasonable investigation when a consumer disputes the accuracy of any item on their credit report. Furthermore, 1681e ( b ) mandates that only accurate and verifiable information be reported.
