As a victim of identity theft, I have already taken proper steps to document and report the misuse of my personal information, and this XXXX account is an unauthorized tradeline that should not be associated with me in any capacity. In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), I am invoking the following provisions : Legal Basis for Deletion Under the FCRA : 15 U.S.C. 1681c-2 Blocking of Information Resulting from Identity Theft Once a consumer provides appropriate proof of identity theftincluding an Identity Theft Report and supporting documentationconsumer reporting agencies are required to block such information from their files within XXXX business days. 15 U.S.C. 1681e ( b ) Maximum Possible Accuracy Consumer reporting agencies must follow reasonable procedures to ensure maximum possible accuracy. My Formal Request : I am demanding the following : 1. Permanently delete the fraudulent XXXX account reporting with a {$0.00} balance from my Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion credit reports. 2. Block this account from any future reinsertion unless you receive full, verifiable documentation that I am the legal account holderwhich I am not. 3. Provide written confirmation outlining the results of your reinvestigation and documentation of the accounts removal. 4. Ensure that your procedures remain in full compliance with FCRA standards for future reporting accuracy. I have included my FTC Identity Theft Affidavit and related police report documents in previous correspondence and am willing to resubmit these again if needed to ensure compliance. This situation continues to cause unnecessary harm to my credit profile and financial peace of mind. If this matter is not resolved in a timely and lawful manner, I will file complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ), Federal Trade Commission ( FTC ), and pursue legal remedies as needed.
