My Amex card was cancelled without just cause, I was never notified that my card was at risk for cancellation. The customer service rep claimed a letter was sent by mail which I have NOT received, no phone call no text messages. An email was sent on XX/XX/year> which was yesterday ( Friday ) stating my account was cancelled!! No prior warning at all. I have emails with all kinds of special offers but no cancellation warning. They claim a payment was returned by my bank but that isnt true, all payments have cleared my bank. I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX website and there are tons of complaints similar to mine regarding unforeseen card cancellations. Not sure what is going on with Amex but this is not how I have known them to practice throughout the four years I have had my card. Something seems very off maybe fraudulent in how they are doing business. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone considering opening an account with them. Please investigate Amex, they are not providing the level of customer service and business practices their reputation was built on.
