I am filing this complaint against Auto Now Financial Services and XXXX for inaccurate credit reporting and failure to correct false information, despite multiple disputes. In XX/XX/XXXX, I voluntarily surrendered a vehicle to Auto Now Financial Services. However, the account on my XXXX credit report is inaccurately reported as a repossession, and then shows a voluntary surrender the following month ( XX/XX/XXXX ), which is contradictory and misleading. Additionally, the account shows a new balance of {$5200.00} as of XX/XX/XXXX more than three years after the surrender with no explanation or documentation of how that amount was calculated. The account is clearly outdated, misleading, and damaging to my credit profile. I have disputed this account with XXXX at least seven times, but they continue to retain it on my report and claim the information was verified by the furnisher. This response has not changed despite clear factual inconsistencies and XXXX obligation under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) to conduct a reasonable investigation. This inaccurate reporting has caused serious harm to my credit standing, and I am requesting the complete removal of this Auto Now Financial account from my XXXX credit report.
