Consumer Narrative

This company, XXXX XXXX has a history of multiple complaints with not only the CFPB but also with the FRC, XXXX and NJ State Attorney Generals Office for violating my consumer protection rights. Past complaints with the CFPB are XXXX filed on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX filed on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX filed on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX filed on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX filed on XX/XX/XXXX and finally XXXX filed on XX/XX/XXXX. These multiple complaints were filed due to repeated violations and attempts to communicate/ contact me after being sent a cease and desist letter back in XX/XX/XXXX. Ongoing incidents have caused these complaints with each being a new and different violation of my consumer protection rights. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX responded to two complaints with ending, We received your written request to stop all collection contacts with you regarding your accounts. This includes telephone calls to your home, work, and cell phone numbers, text messages, letters, chat and emails. We will continue to send monthly billing statements as required by law. Upon receipt of this inquiry, instructions were placed on my XXXX accounts to cease collection calls or other forms of collection communication. As past complaints of this same issue, each time, XXXX responds that are in receipt of my cease and desist letter sent certified mail and acknowledged such, but as noted above, continued to communicate with me on different occasions as to different XXXX accounts. Each time such a violation accursed, a complaint was filed as so stated above and each time, another incident of ignoring my consumer protection rights afforded to me by law accursed. Finally, a complaint with the NJ Attorney Generals Office was filed and sent to XXXX. I received an acknowledgment letter from the attorney generals office dated XX/XX/XXXX with information of sending a complaint to XXXX on my behalf, requesting a response. With all the above complaints with several government agencies, acknowledgement by XXXX in writing of received cease and desist demand letter from me, I now receive another collection letter from an agent of XXXX, Credit Control , LLC dated XX/XX/XXXX and received by me on XX/XX/XXXX. As per my cease and desist, its specifically reads and includes agents on behalf of XXXX are not to contact me for collection communication as well but XXXX continues as part several complaints already mentioned above with government agencies, continues to violate my consumer protection rights as so demanded by law and has acknowledged in past complaints and especially in their written response on XX/XX/XXXX. This recent collection letter from Credit Control , LLC on behalf of XXXX is now sending me letters on, again behalf of XXXX, whos already has been warned over and over of this continuing harassment, intimidation tactics and now has caused me and my family distress, XXXX XXXX XXXX over. We have been in conversation with an attorney, XXXX XXXX and will be meeting with him within the next week with a retainer. We will address these many complaints and XXXX constantly abusing my consumer protection rights under the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. We were advised each violation by XXXX are subject to fines of {$1000.00} per incident and will be aggressively seeking damages a possibly of filing bankruptcy protection. Im now asking for the CFPB to take some kind of action against this company, XXXX for violating my consumer protection rights as lawfully provided to me under state and federal laws. This action should and will include this agent of XXXX, Credit Control , LLC as well.
