I use to live in a house with other people. They were not roommates as I did not know them. I only rented a room out of the house. The other people also rented rooms out of house. And there was a high turn over on most of the rooms. In XXXX of 2020 I was not home most of the month. One of the other room renters broke into my room and gained access to my personal information and opened a crefit card in my name. I also opened a new credit card in 2020 with a different company. When I got the credit card bill I assumed it was for my card that I opened as I only had the one card and the name on card wasn't the same as the name for website ( which is a lot of off brand crefit cards ) so i made a payment on card. It wasn't until later I realized that I paid on a card that someone else opened in my name fraudulently. I have spoken with spring oaks ( indigo crefit card ) and explained the situation. I filed a police report and submitted a copy to them. But they are still demanding me pay for a crefit card that I did not open.
