I am filing this complaint because XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) is reporting the same {$680.00} debt multiple times on my credit report under slightly different account numbers and names. These entries all stem from an alleged debt with XXXX XXXX XXXX.. Specifically, the same debt is appearing under the names : XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX All entries have the same balance of {$680.00}, same opening date ( XX/XX/XXXX ), and reflect the same original creditor. However, they differ in reporting details like " last activity '' dates and account numbers, which makes them appear as separate accounts and inflates my total debt burden. This constitutes duplicate reporting, which is : Misleading to creditors Negatively affects my credit score In violation of FCRA 623 ( Duty to Report Accurate Information ) Inconsistent with Metro 2 guidelines for credit reporting Additionally : One account shows the status as both " Open '' and " Charged-Off '' this is contradictory. Another shows 100 % on-time payment history despite being a collection account.
