Consumer Narrative
I contacted Equifax XX/XX/scrub>XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX I was connected maybe XXXX ; XXXX the call was disconnected at XXXX ; XXXX about a Dispute against them reporting an Insertion account on my credit report which is a violation I wasn't notified within 5 days of the reinsertion. this account " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX' account was removed XX/XX/year> and RE-INSERTED XX/XX/year>. I requested notice to prove they haven't violated the FCRA because I wasn't notified of the reinsertion still doesn't have such notice it's been months. I also requested a method of Verification I asked who was Interviewed which confirmed this account 100 % belongs to me, what day/time did you speak, what documents were presented to you, what did they say, also what phone number did you call. I was told by representative ID number XXXX They CAN NOT provide this information I requested to speak with the supervisor I was on hold for awhile then they sent the call to the survey and the call was disconnected. when has a method of verification become restricted to the consumer request? I have received a notice from Equifax stating the account Isn't present on my credit report XX/XX/year> but XX/XX/year> I received a notice the account has been verified, and is accurate also the dispute is pending will be available in 30 days, but the rep stated I have no pending disputes. I'm aware Equifax is being used for this exact reason not properly investigating disputes, I'm a witness Equifax is violating many rights here FCRA, FDCPA, and Regulation F. Unlawful reinsertion without notice per 15 USC 1681i ( a ) ( 5 ) ( B ) ( ii ) Denial of method of verification Request 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 6 ) ( B ) ( III ) Given the above violations I demand an immediate deletion and to be provided with written confirmation of the deletion, also provide a complete method of verification including the name and contact details of the party who verified the information. failure to comply within 15 days will result in complaints being filed with the CFPB once more, the federal trade commission and my state attorney general 's office. I also reserve the right to seek legal remedies for damages resulting from the unlawful reinsertion and equifax 's non compliance. also Equifax is the only credit agency reporting this information and refuse to investigate, and remove accounts from consumers reports. Thank you for your attention, XXXX XXXX
