On XX/XX/year> I was notified that I had a collections from XXXX XXXX XXXX on my credit report regarding an apartment where I previously resided. The original amount on my credit report was {$4900.00}. This was the first time I have been notified about this bill existing. I was never sent any information by my previous landlord nor XXXX XXXX XXXX. I called the collections agency whom I have never spoken to nor had I received a bill from. I asked them to validate the debt and they sent me a letter that did not include when I had to pay this bill or that I had the right to dispute it. This was sent to the credit bureaus without my knowledge of this even existing or the collection agency contacting me. The credit bureaus should not have reported this on my credit report. I have made several disputes and they will not remove this collections. I disputed this collections on XX/XX/year>, XX/XX/year>, XX/XX/year>, and XX/XX/year>. The debt collector never provided any proof that they attempted to contact me or spoke to me. I'm unsure of why the credit bureaus consider this legal. After several attempts to get this removed for my credit report the collections amount changed to XXXX. They accepted a falsified document sent to them months after this was originally reported. This document came allegedly from the corporate office of my former landlord. Nothing in this falsified letter matched up to what the property manager of my former landlord had sent to the collections agency. None of the information I have was provided to me by my former landlord. It was provided to the collection agency who has sent me this information only when I have called to address why they sent this to the credit bureaus without contacting me. They have yet to answer my question. The credit bureaus have yet to remove this collections from my report.
