Details of the Issue : Type of Issue : Inaccurate credit reporting ( old repossession account ) Original Creditor/Servicer : [ XXXX XXXX XXXX ] Credit Bureau ( s ) Involved : [ Experian / Equifax / TransUnion Date of Last Activity : [ over 7 years ago ] Account Number : XXXX This account was previously removed from my credit report after an earlier dispute. Its reappearance appears to violate : 1. FCRA Section 605 ( a ) which prohibits credit bureaus from reporting most negative information after 7 years from the date of first delinquency ; 2. FCRA Section 611 which requires credit bureaus to verify disputed information within 30 days ; 3. FCRA Section 623 which prohibits furnishers of information from reporting data they know to be inaccurate. I have attempted to resolve this matter directly with the credit bureaus, but the issue remains unresolved. The information in question is either inaccurate, obsolete, or unverifiable, and should not be on my credit file. Resolution Requested : Immediate deletion of the re-aged/inaccurate repossession account ; A formal investigation into how and why this account was re-reported ; Written confirmation of the outcome.
