My rent check for XX/XX/year> was stolen, and cashed by the XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. When I contacted Wells Fargo they told me that the check had been " washed '' and written over. They refuse to refund my stolen money. They advised me to close my current checking account & to open a new one, which I did. When I made a formal complaint to Wells Fargo the Escalations Representative XXXX XXXX emailed me " We were unable to find any indicators present confirming fraud on your account ''. You can see clearly in the attachment the stolen check & a carbon copy of the original.
