b'Good afternoon,\n I had a series of CD\'S in Seacoast Bank XXXX Florida). Since I planned to wire money for the purchase of a condo in XXXX (lower cost living, I am a XXXX) I transferred $XXXX from my C.D. into Seacoast\'s money market. I asked if I would get interest--3.8%. (Several on-line entities: XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, and others were paying 3.7-4.2%). I made the transfer on XXXX XXXX XXXX\n\nMy bank statement arrived on XXXX XXXX XXXX. Since Monday was a holiday, I went to the bank on Tuesday (XXXX XXXX to complain that there was NO interest. The bank manager, XXXX XXXX said he would take care of it.\n\nI pre-paid the moving company to take my furniture on XXXX XXXX. It was a very hectic week. I went to Seacoast Bank on XXXX XXXX to wire XXXX to the escrow company. There still was no interest added to my account, so I decided to close the account. But once again, manageXXXX XXXX XXXX ASSURED me that I would get the interest "at the end of the month." That meant XXXX XXXX at which time I would be in XXXX\n\nThe bank delayed setting up the link for on-line banking. That meant once in XXXX my remaining funds were inaccessible. The manager (XXXX XXXX) did call to make sure I made it safely. He told me to email him. I emailed him in early XXXX to find out how much interest since it was never stipulated if it would accrue from XXXX XXXX or the day I complainedXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX.\n\nI never got an email response. I had no choice but to fly back to Florida to access my funds and close the account. The flight was XXXX rental car, XXXX, hotels (4 nights) over XXXX so I took on those costs due to this bank\'s errors! \n\nI entered the bank on XXXX XXXX XXXX-and imagine my outrage to find that NO interest had ever been added to my account. They owe me! Had they been honest in stating there would be .05% interest, I could have put my XXXX into an on-line bank.\n\nThey owe me a minimum of XXXX (if the start date was XXXX XXXX) or, if it reverts to the day I deposited those funds into the money marker XXXX XXXX, closer to XXXX XXXX and that is NOT counting the trip costs required to deal with this bank.\n\nI was told yet again that they would grant me interest. I gave them one day. Nothing. So I closed the account; but I do NOT think they have the right to not pay interest when they used my funds for their own loan products for 51 days. If I owed XXXX on my XXXX XXXX XXXX the interest for nearly two months would be several thousand.\n\nCan you get them to do the right thing as promised to me?
