On XX/XX/year>, I received a collection notice from Columbia Debt Recovery LLC dba Genesis, attempting to collect {$610.00} allegedly owed to XXXX XXXX XXXX. This debt was fully resolved under a court-approved settlement agreement filed with the XXXX XXXX Superior Court ( Case No. REDACTED ) under CCP 664.6. The balance was waived in court. Despite this, Genesis has tried to collect and may report the debt to credit bureaus. They are also attempting to collect charges ( backdated utilities ) not authorized in the court settlement. Ive attached a redacted formal dispute letter, redacted motion to enforce settlement, and other supporting documents, such as the court settlement agreement. I demand the CFPB take immediate action to bar this collection and prevent inaccurate credit reporting.
