I OBSERVED AN ACCOUNT ON MY CREDIT REPORT THAT HAD SURPASSED THE TIME PERIOD FOR REPORTING UNDER THE LAW : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX Account Number XXXX * * * * I SUBMITTED A DISPUTE TO THE CREDIT BUREAU ( TRANSUNION ) SO THAT THE ACCOUNT COULD BE REMOVED, KEEPING IN MIND THAT THE OTHER CREDIT BUREAUS REMOVED THE ACCOUNT PER THE LAW. THE RESULTS OF THE INVESTIGATION WERE THAT THE ACCOUNT WAS VALID AND INSTEAD OF REMOVING IT, THEY UPDATED THE INFORMATION ON THE ACCOUNT TO REFLECT THE DATE THAT THE ACCOUNT WAS TRANSFERRED TO COLLECTIONS INSTEAD OF THE ORIGINAL DELINQUENCY DATE FROM THE ORIGINAL CREDITOR.
