Someone was able to get access to my Venmo account without going through the security measures put in place to protect my account. There was no verification sent to my phone. Someone sent themselves XXXX. I caught it, deleted my banking info then spent over an hour trying to contact someone to lock my account. Venmo found in my favor and resolved, and locked my account. Now I can not delete my account. When I called they said I have to resolve via email that department does not have telephones. The department demands I upload my personal identification. I dont want the account unlocked I want it deleted. If they can not protect my banking information I do not trust that they can protect my identity. For all I know they are wanting my Identity uploaded so they can attempt to do something with it. They refuse to resolve this or delete my account in a secure manner. Via email is not secure. Their website is not secured. I just want them to permanently delete my account.
