I have a XXXX XXXX debt with a balance of {$560.00} that was sold to a collection agency called XXXX. Resurgent claims my balance is {$840.00}. Even though both these accounts are the same debt, it shows up as TWO SEPARATE accounts on my report. And both accounts have a note listed that they have been disputed and investigated. If there has been an investigation why is the same derogatory account listed twice? This also occurs on my report with XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX. Although XXXX XXXX sold the debt to XXXX, they both appear on my report when it is just the same account. Theres also a note under XXXX that this account was also disputed and investigated.
