On XX/XX/XXXX, I was shopping for XXXX to fly to XXXX. During my flight selection of delta XXXX, I was advertised to apply for their credit card to receive {$500.00} off my flight if approved instantly. I was approved however the website failed to deliver me my credit card number to use immediately. Attempts to resolve with Delta and Amex ( the credit card provider ) were met with the same response that I can wait for the card to arrive but that they cant share the credit card number for the purchase as the offer advertised. I purchased the flight on another card since flight prices nearly always rise and asked if Delta or Amex could recharge the new card when it arrived, and neither could commit to resolving. So now I have a newly opened credit line on my credit and no actually benefit from it unless I spend more money with delta. All of this was a result of an advertised value/ offer that was false due to failure on Deltas website and phone support being unable to deliver me my credit card number.
