I had a XXXX XXXX XXXX card that was converted to a XXXX XXXX XXXX card. After it converted, the XXXX XXXX XXXX card continued to show a balance but as closed. I filed a dispute with equifax, the only one reporting this wrong, and they instead reopening the item on the credit report despite the fact I made it clear that one account was converted and is no longer active or holding a balance. Nobody will help me at XXXX XXXX or at equifax. Account XXXX was converted to account XXXX after the XXXX XXXX XXXX card was discontinued, reviewing the attached credit reports you can see the same limits, the same opening date, anyone with a brain at the credit bureau should be able to fix this but all I can get are people overseas that are not americans to answer the phone.I am also including my credit card statements, in XXXX of XXXX account XXXX no longer was active, and in XX/XX/year>XXXX account XXXX was the new account number. These statements reflect this one account, being reported twice. I had opened another CFPB complaint, but because this was a store card, that converted to a regular retail card, i think this is why this is not being handled right. After my first complaint, they updated the XXXX XXXX XXXX listing on my report and now shows as closed, but the original account that converted still shows open, with a half utilized limit which is false information, with a monthly payment of {$100.00}. this account does not exist. i want this entire thing deleted and XXXX XXXX should be held accountable. I am including the update i got from them ( XXXX XXXX ) that the XXXX account was closed and updated, but they left the largest issue of the ghost account that no longer exists ending in XXXX.
