I am filing this complaint to the CFPB for the immediate deletion of the following unauthorized reported hard inquiries from my Equifax credit report, which I did not allow or authorize to be included in my credit file : XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX. These inquiries were reported without my knowledge or written consent, which violates 15 U.S.C. 1681b of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), requiring a valid permissible purpose for any access to my consumer report. Equifax has no authorization or written instruction from me, and yet these inquiries were reported. This also violates 15 U.S.C. 1681e ( b ), which mandates Equifax to follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy. If Equifax will not remove the inquiries, and their continued reporting without verification constitutes willful and/or negligent noncompliance, making them liable under 15 U.S.C. 1681n and 1681o, I can seek {$1000.00} per damages. I am demanding that Equifax delete these inquiries immediately and provide written confirmation of the removal.
