On XX/XX/XXXX Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion were notified of incorrect information reporting on my credit report and was asked to delete the information reporting incorrectly. They have yet to verify and respond in a timely manner per Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), 15 U.S.C. 1681c-1, which mandates the blocking and deletion of disputed information that can not be verified as accurate within four ( 4 ) business days. Under the authority of 15 U.S.C. 1681c-1 ( a ), you are required to block this information from my file immediately, and if unverified, delete it within 4 business days of receipt of this letter. Failing to do so constitutes willful noncompliance, which subjects Experian to civil liability of up to {$1000.00} per violation under 15 U.S.C. 1681n.
