CFPB Complaint Against XXXX XXXX , XXXX. Complaint Summary : I am filing this complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for failure to comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and for furnishing inaccurate or unverifiable information to Equifax. XXXX XXXX is reporting a tradeline on my Equifax, XXXX and XXXX credit file that is inaccurate, not verified with proper documentation, and was confirmed as verified without disclosing any basis of proof or method of verification. I have no knowledge of this account, have disputed it, and have asked repeatedly for proof that it belongs to me. Violations Committed by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX : 1. Failure to conduct a reasonable investigation as required under FCRA 623 ( b ) ( 1 ) after receiving notice of dispute from Equifax, Experian and TransUnion ; 2. Failure to provide documentation or original source proof that I opened or owe the alleged account ; 3. Continuing to furnish disputed information that it either knows or should reasonably know is inaccurate in violation of FCRA 623 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) ; 4. Providing incomplete or misleading results of investigation to Equifax, Experian and TransUnion and CFPB without proper validation ; 5. Acting in bad faith by confirming the account without resolving the substance of the dispute.
