XXXX XXXX XXXX, GA XXXX Subject : Identity Theft & Dispute of Inaccurate Information under FCRA 602, 604, 605B | Request for Immediate Blocking of Fraudulent Data To Whom It May Concern : I am writing pursuant to the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), specifically under 15 U.S.C. 1681c-2 ( Section 605B ), to formally dispute and request the blocking and removal of fraudulent and inaccurate accounts that are appearing on my consumer credit reports as a result of identity theft. A complaint has been filed with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) regarding this matter. Additionally, these accounts have resulted in unauthorized hard inquiries, which I also request be immediately deleted. I invoke my rights under the following sections of the FCRA : 15 U.S.C. 1681c-2 ( Section 605B ) : You must block the reporting of information that I identify as the result of identity theft within 47 business days after receiving proof of identity and a valid identity theft report. 15 U.S.C. 1681 Section 602 ( a ) : I have the right to privacy and fair treatment in the use of my credit information. 15 U.S.C. 1681 Section 604 ( a ) ( 2 ) : No consumer reporting agency shall furnish a consumer report unless the consumer has provided written instructions or authorization. I am requesting the following actions be taken immediately : 1. Block and remove all fraudulent accounts listed above from all three credit bureaus : Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. 2. Delete any associated hard inquiries connected to these accounts. 3. Provide me with an updated copy of my credit report showing the removal of these items.
