XX/XX/XXXX I tried logging into my Equifax account. I had frozen my credit on Equifax on XX/XX/XXXX and I needed to unlock the freeze to switch cell phone providers and they needed to check my credit. I was unable to log in - received message that I did not have an account which is false as I have logged into my account many times in the past. I then tried to change my password to see if I could log in and unable to change password. I called Equifax for assistance and was told they didnt know what the issue was and to try again. No help, and still unable to log in. I called back several times and asked for a supervisor who told me to call back in a week. I was able to access and log into my husbands account without any issues so clearly the issue has to do with Equifax doing something to my account. They are refusing to help me log into and access my personal information. I have provided then with all the requested documents, that asked for a pic of my drivers license and a pic of myself to verify it was me in addition to my ss # and still nothing. I have a right to be able to log into my account. Its as if they are holding my personal information hostage and refusing to fix whatever the issues are for me to be able to log in. They asked me why I needed to log into and what was the reason- I dont need a reason its my information and I should be able to log in everyday if I want to. I am being refused help and access to my account.
