On XX/XX/year>, I submitted payment to my mortgage company ( XXXX XXXX Mortgage ) in the amount of {$4300.00}. This payment was submitted using their telephonic system which automatically included an late fee in the amount of {$150.00}. The amount posted to the account the same day and noted as paid. On XX/XX/year>, I contacted XXXX XXXX advising I did not show the my mortgage being withdrawn from my bank account. I was ensured by XXXX XXXX that the mortgage payment has been posted to the account. On XX/XX/year>, I contacted my bank XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ), who advised the payment submitted to Round Point had been sent back due to insufficient funds. I attempted to contact XXXX XXXX back, but their offices had already closed. On XX/XX/year>, I contacted XXXX XXXX advised that the payment of my mortgage was rejected and requested them to please resubmit payment. I was advised that the payment was submitted and posted to the account and there was nothing further to do. On XX/XX/year>, I contacted XXXX XXXX as they posted the XX/XX/year>, payment as rejected to their account. I also noted there was a delinquent hit to my credit report from XXXX XXXX for the late payment. This dropped my XXXX XXXX XXXX points and is the first late payment I have ever had in my entire credit history. I paid the XXXX mortgage with XXXX XXXX the same day. The amount the representative requested me to pay was {$4.00}, XXXX and did not include a late payment. Upon paying the mortgage, I was advised that XXXX XXXX attempts twice to collect payment from mortgages. I then inquired if XXXX XXXX attempted to collect my XXXX mortgage twice.
