I am filing a complaint against Edfinancial Services for serious mismanagement of my federal student loan and failure to communicate important account changes. I was told that I would receive written details about a new payment arrangement of {$800.00} per month, which I never received. I also see on the XXXX website that I have been approved for Public Service Loan Forgiveness ( PSLF ). However, Edfinancial states they received no documentation, and when I contact Student Aid, they tell me that if payments are marked as qualified ( which they are ), then I need to work with Edfinancial directly. This has led to a cycle of blame-shifting and XXXX resolution. As a result, Edfinancial placed my loans into default and reported this status to credit bureaus. My credit score dropped by over XXXX points, despite the fact that Ive been trying in good faith to resolve this issue. I am requesting the following : Recognition and proper processing of my PSLF qualification. Confirmation and implementation of the $ XXXX payment arrangement after my PSLF payments have been properly applied. Immediate reversal of the default status and correction of credit reporting. This situation has caused major financial harm and emotional distress. I am requesting immediate CFPB assistance in resolving the matter. attached are screenshots from the XXXX website that show XXXX payments qualified for PSLF forgiveness. These were not applied to my loan with EDfinancial.
