Equifax sent me a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX saying that they received my request concerning inaccurate information in my Equifax credit file. They said they were unable to locate my credit file in their database and that they needed additional documents. They previously sent me a credit report confirmation number : XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX. They lied to me in the XX/XX/XXXX letter! How else would they have sent a complete credit report only six days earlier dated XX/XX/XXXX? They were asking me for two different categories of information such as my social security number which is included in the report they mailed me dated XX/XX/XXXX. They were asking for proof of address when they have already sent me the complete credit report w/ the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX address in it. They even back in XXXX confirmed this address and over the phone I told them I have been living here for over 7 years. This is a violation of the FCRA to claim they can't locate a file when of course they just sent out a complete credit report dated XX/XX/XXXX which I have included an uploaded picture of in this complaint. It is a violation of the FCRA to obstruct my reasonable requests for them to remove inaccurate information. Thank you.
