I purchased a vehicle on XX/XX/year> and financed it through Lentegrity. The vehicle was later discovered to have a branded/salvage title, which was not clearly disclosed in the main sales or finance contracts. The only mention was in a separate side disclosure document, which was not explained or presented transparently at signing. Lentegrity later confirmed they were aware the vehicle had a branded title, as they had requested the salvage title themselves. Despite this, the vehicle was financed for over {$36000.00} significantly above fair market value for a branded title vehicle. This has resulted in a severely upside-down loan and misrepresentation of the vehicles true worth. Ive made consistent, on-time payments and have reduced the balance to around {$11000.00}. However, after falling behind on just one payment, Lentegrity has become extremely aggressive in pursuing repossession instead of working toward a resolution. Most notably, XXXX a representative from Lentegritys repossession department has been consistently nasty, rude, and unprofessional throughout every interaction. She has shown no willingness to help or even listen to the situation, and her tone has been combative and dismissive despite the ongoing dispute and the fact that I have been cooperative. She continues to apply pressure instead of offering any meaningful support or solution. Ive also requested documentation from Lentegrity regarding their knowledge of the branded title, as well as justification for the inflated loan amount. To date, I have not received a satisfactory response. I am seeking CFPB review into whether this loan was issued under deceptive, misleading, or predatory conditions and whether Lentegrity failed in their duty to provide transparent and fair disclosure. I am also requesting protection from further aggressive collection actions while this dispute is being investigated.
