Despite numerous calls and documented disputes, the company has failed to resolve unauthorized charges and has re-reported disputed balances that were previously cleared. Chronology of the Issue : XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) : I attempted to use my XXXX XXXX XXXX, which showed a {$0.00} balance and active status, but the transaction failed. I was forced to pay {$380.00} in cash. XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) : I contacted customer service and learned my account had been locked, despite being visible to the associate a day earlier. In XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email that the account was " past due. '' In XX/XX/XXXX, a letter stated my card could not be reissued due to account status. Also my credit report states that the XXXX XXXX card was closed in XX/XX/XXXX. However, I have been charged and billed for transactions allegedly made in XX/XX/XXXX, including the reappearance of disputed charges and XXXX new amounts : {$74.00} and {$190.00}. This raises a serious concern : How can a closed account continue to accrue charges and report a past-due balance if no transactions are possible? This is a clear violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and further indicates that : The debt is not valid, The charges are unauthorized, And my credit is being harmed by false and inaccurate reporting.
