I have been battling ID Theft for the last XXXX years. The most significant issue is these individual keep changing the phone number on the fraud alert notice from my phone number to their phone number by calling into the bureaus. Then the group proceeds to unfreeze the account and begin submitting loan applications. This has been ongoing for XXXX years with all XXXX credit bureaus. I've asked many times for more protection. I've mentioned the use multi-factor authentication or some other method ( other than my personal information ) before making any changes to my account. This has fallen on deaf ears so far. If all XXXX bureaus would close this loophole, it would shut down the issue.
