Consumer Narrative

I am respectfully asking for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureaus assistance in compelling TransUnion to permanently delete an accounts that was unlawfully reinserted into my credit file without my knowledge, consent, or authorization. The accountsXXXX and XXXX, Account Number XXXX and XXXX respectivelyhad previously been deleted following a valid dispute but has since been reinserted in direct violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), including 15 U.S.C. 1681i ( a ) and 1681i ( 5 ) ( B ) ( ii )- ( iii ). I received NO notice of this reinsertion within the five business days required by law, and TransUnion failed to provide any certification of accuracy from the furnisher. This violates the statute and my consumer rights. Furthermore, I NEVER gave TransUnion or any third party permissible purpose to access or report these accounts in the first place, in violation of 15 U.S.C. 1681b. Additionally, TransUnion is in violation of 15 U.S.C. 1681e ( b ), as the information they are reporting does NOT MATCH the information reported by Equifax, and Experian is NOT reporting these accounts highlighting serious inconsistencies and a lack of maximum possible accuracy. These failures show willful noncompliance and ongoing negligence under 15 USC 1681n and 1681o. I am asking the CFPB to take action to ensure TransUnion permanently deletes these reinserted accounts, provides documentation explaining their actions, and complies with all applicable federal requirements. I am doing my part as a consumer and now urgently need your help to hold TransUnion accountable.
