The company, LoanDepot, charged me a late fee of {$67.00}. I have never been late, not even once, not even close. But, due to the company 's unprofessional and incompetent servicing department, almost all of the customer 's payments were late. The servicing department received the payment envelopes, but did not open and process them until after the late payment grace period. We all believe that this was intentional so that they could charge thousands of customers late payment fees, and make XXXX ( if not millions ) of dollars just by delaying the payment processing. Again, we ( like many others ) have never been late, not even once, not even close!! We asked the company ( LoanDepot ) to provide a copy of the mailing envelope to show that the postdate was late, but they refuse to provide any information. We know that all of this occurred with thousands of borrowers payments, because the company ( LoanDepot ) has since changed servicing processors because of this issue. I not only want this late fee removed, but would like to see LoanDepot investigated for this illegal, fraudulent activity!!
