On XX/XX/year>, I returned a missed call from Mediation Recovery Center ( MRC ). During the call at approximately XXXX XXXX, a representative disclosed my full Social Security Number aloud without verifying my identity or having my consent. .When I expressed concern about this breach of privacy and asked the agent to lower their voice, they began yelling at me, then hung up on the call. I immediately called back, and we continued to argue as the agent kept screaming. This escalated my stress to the point where I reacted emotionally and insulted the representativewhich I do not condone but occurred due to extreme distress.I called again and reached a different representative. I was still upset and asked about the disclosure, but that call also ended abruptly after more tension. On the fourth call, I was finally connected to a male representative, and I asked to speak with a manager. The manager I spoke with did not acknowledge the seriousness of the situation and instead discouraged me from reporting the incidentwhich made me feel even more violated, unsafe, and pressured into silence. This caused me serious emotional distress, as I have a past history of XXXX. Shortly after, the company closed the debt account suddenly without explanation. I believe MRC violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act by disclosing sensitive information and using intimidation. I am requesting an investigation and appropriate action be taken against the company.
