I made an online deposit into my Wells Fargo checking account on XX/XX/year>2025 at XXXX XXXX On Tuesday, XX/XX/year>2025, there was a hold put on the deposit until XX/XX/scrub>/2025. Wells Fargo stated that the check was XXXX through the ACH on XX/XX/year>, but the check cleared XXXX XXXX on Monday XX/XX/year>2025. The check was XXXX XXXX XXXX This has happened before with Wells Fargo, even thought the check cleared, the held my deposit for 8 days. I asked Wells Fargo to reject the deposit as XXXXXXXX charge me, and let me negotiate the check with XXXX. They refused. I have the check in my hand. If the can not honor the deposit, they must return the use of the check to me so I can use my other bank. I will look for a lawyer to sue Wells Fargo for violation of Consumer Protections : The CFPB investigated and found that Wells Fargo violated the Consumer Financial Protection Act by engaging in unfair and deceptive practices. These practices included, among other things, holding funds unnecessarily after they had been deposited and credited to customer accounts.
