Consumer Narrative

On Wednesday, XX/XX/year>2025 I contacted First National Bank of Omaha ( FNBO ) to figure out why a 3rd joint account was standing at XXXX when it should have been at a positive {$64.00}. The representative sent me to a collections dept. where I was told they pledged that amount to cover another checking account. I spoke to a representative over a week prior to this conversation and they advised me on the timeframe that I can get the funds in without my other account being affected. This collections representative advised me not only this was not the case but, different departments handle collections differently and no one really communicates what was told to the other in these depts. My response was it's Unfair banking and the only one that suffers from Misinformation is the customer themselves. My 3rd account is frozen, there is no resolution and this is nothing but, bank bullying tactics against their own members. There is no reason to hold my 3rd account hostage when they have a direct deposit currently set up for the first overdrawn account to occur. Because of this freeze on the 3rd account it disallows me from even curing the balance offset to begin with. They say they put this information in fine print about holding accounts hostage when really that should be a main point of presentation to allow a person full transparency so that they would have made an completely informed decision to do business there. This isn't the first time they have done jenky banking and hopefully there's enough complaints on this organization that an attorney finally picks it up and file a class action because if this can happen to me it most likely have happened to others.
